We are currently seeking low voltage technicians to join our team in supporting a large project with the VA state police. These technicians will be helping with the installation of Radios (LMRs), Security Cameras, Network cabling (copper and fiber), and other IT/Network Hardware in their attack & surveillance vehicles. They will also be working on said equipment hands on to help with troubleshooting and repair as needed. These technicians will be trained on site and are expected to come in with some understanding of cabling, wiring, or automotive principles. At times there might be lulls in the work given the police is in charge of scheduling installs. During these times these technicians will be helping with cabling needs and install needs at cell towers in the area. They will be cross trained as needed for this as well. Technicians WILL NOT be climbing towers. Responsibilities * Knowledge of cabling and low voltage technologies. * Willingness to learn and work in an atypical cabling setting * Complete assigned tasked efficiently and on time. * Ability to be reliable and onsite when expected. Qualifications * Experience with basic low voltage wiring or automotive systems. * Self-Starter with solid work ethic * Knowledge of basic electricity or IT cabling Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Chesterfield, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
