What you will learn and contribute to

Integration and Verification comprise the integration of SW and/or HW or system components into system, platform, product releases, or networks and verifies the integrated entity or network against particular requirements and specifications. This includes the setup and maintenance of the laboratory and associated equipment, tools, and devices. Additionally, we automate many aspects of our verification and testing environment. Also included in the role can be the demonstration of our products and systems to internal audiences as well as end customers and users.



  • Analyzes, designs, develops and tests products / services / improvements / bug resolutions for integrated hardware / software systems as per customers' requirements
  • Reproduce, analyze, and test customer issues in a laboratory environment
  • Diagnoses complex problems/issues (EG hardware, software, combination) and provides resolution or recommends corrective actions.
  • Contributes to the design, building, maintenance and optimization of the test environment as well as possible demonstration systems
  • Applies and maintains quality standards. Participates in process and tool evolutions and improvements.
  • Implements and executes automation into the test environment using scripting such as Python
  • May execute security scans and assess vulnerabilities
  • Capable over time to participate in the demonstration of our products and systems to both internal Nokia audiences and external customers



Your skills and experience

You have:



  • US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident(Greencard Holder)
  • This is a hybrid Chicagoland area position(not remote)
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Programming/Scripting: Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Java) and scripting for automation tasks.
  • Networking Knowledge: Understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security practices relevant to telecom infrastructure.
  • Operating Systems/Platforms: Experienced in Linux, virtualization, k8s, docker and other platforms commonly used in telecom environments.


It would be nice if you also have:



  • Previous Nokia internship or co-op experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze vulnerabilities and their potential impact on the organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address complex issues
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report vulnerabilities and collaborate with various teams.
  • System verification activities: analyze feature specifications, prepare test cases, configure test environment, execute test cases, report faults, and follow fault corrections
  • Some Understanding of RF technologies and 3GPP standards
