Location: Lake Jackson, TX

Salary: $83,000 - $125,000
Schedule: 4-10's; 9/80 available
Relocation Available

Focus: The Contract Administrator is responsible for administering site-wide maintenance contracts for Freeport, coordinating with contractors and the Olin job contact to clarify and resolve issues, ensuring adherence to EH&S program requirements, and improving cost effectiveness of the service through improvements. The Contract Administrator acts as a maintenance focal point in determining site maintenance service contractor strategies by participating on project teams led by Sourcing Managers and Specialists in the Purchasing function.

Contract Administrator Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external parties to facilitate smooth contract execution: support site Maintenance and suppliers with billing issues, act as liaison between Accounts Payable and Sourcing, provide input to Olin Purchasing in contract strategy development and negotiations, and work with contractor to ensure resource level is adequate to cover service requirements.
  • Manage the cost flow associated with the service to ensure cost recoveries occur when needed; track spending routinely against authorized annual P.O. amount for various vendors, including monthly accruals. Assist with supplier onboarding activities and billing expectations.
  • Provide technical knowledge or subject matter expertise to aid in issue resolution. Expertise includes understanding multiple billing types, applicable global and site safety standards, technical requirements, and contract knowledge.
  • Provide necessary contractor oversight and monitoring to assure compliance with contractual requirements; conduct regular and random audits to qualify deliverables specified within the contracts.
  • Assist in periodic audits of the contractor's EH&S program to ensure compliance as well as periodic review of contractor safety performance to ensure continuous improvement or sustainability; resolve safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental issues with the service contractor and the client (maintenance, operations, project, EH&S))

Contract Administrator Minimum Requirements:

  • Must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field preferred, plus 2 years of relevant experience; OR
    • Associate's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience; OR
    • High School Diploma or equivalent plus 8 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP - transactions and reporting; proficient computer skills (MS Office); AES knowledge preferred
  • Ability to perform field walkdowns of work activities in the plants, as necessary
  • Experience with Maintenance Crafts and Maintenance Work Process, Procurement or Project Management (monitoring contract labor and projects to ensure compliance with contract specification) preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
  • Prior Olin experience in a related role preferred
