The University of Virginia School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS)seeks applicants to fill a tenure-ineligible instructional position for the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies Program during the Summer 2025 term. SCPS helps working adults finish their degrees and advance their careers. The school offers a variety of online and in-person programs including bachelor's degree completion programs, professional certificates, a master's in public safety, and other career accelerators. The course to be taught is "ISSS 3045 - The Science and Practice of Mindfulness." This course considers the latest scientific findings about the mind-body connection, explores formal and informal mindfulness practices, the contextual background of mindfulness, and applies them to a variety of professions and settings. Candidates must have a minimum of a master's degree or terminal degree in an appropriate field of study. A terminal degree is strongly preferred.Applicants must be committed to teachingnon-traditional students online in asynchronous and synchronous formats, and preferably professional experience in the field.
