POSITION SUMMARY: Motor Coach Industries (MCI), North America's top motor coach manufacturer, is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Mechanic. In this role, you'll be responsible for the removal and replacement of various motor coach parts. Diagnose and troubleshoot operational issues and repair defects. No prior experience in this specific role is necessary-we're willing to provide full training to the right candidate.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Work on radiators, water pumps, and coolant hoses to ensure optimal engine temperature regulation.
  • Handle alternators, regulators, gauges, lights (both interior and exterior), and electric motors, maintaining electrical integrity and functionality.
  • Replace steering components and hoses, suspension parts, and perform wheel alignments to ensure smooth and safe operation.
  • Overhaul brake drums and shoes, ensuring efficient braking performance.
  • Maintain and replace liquid and air filters for clean and efficient engine operation.
  • Service wheel bearings and seals, ensuring reliable and safe wheel function.
  • Repair door assemblies and controls for smooth entry and exit.
  • Manage pneumatic valves and control cables and linkages for proper air flow and control.
  • Replace body-applied parts both exterior and interior, maintaining the coach's aesthetic and structural integrity.
  • Test and troubleshoot the HVAC system to provide comfort to passengers.
  • Diagnose and repair water leaks to protect against damage.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 3 - 5 years of related experience considered an asset.
  • Education or hands-on experience in related field an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to focus on details to ensure quality is maintained at all times.
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity, along with the ability to use hand, air & power tools.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems individually or as a team member and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a high volume and multiple demand environment
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Basic computer skills to sign off work completed.
