YOUR IMPACT

As the Director, Content Marketing and Strategy, you will lead the development and execution of high-impact content strategy across multiple business units and industries, designed to drive engagement, brand awareness, and thought leadership for OpenText.

Reporting to the VP, Product Marketing, you and your team will collaborate across multiple teams-product marketing, sales, digital marketing, and more-to ensure alignment and effectiveness. This role will manage a team of content strategists who develop, curate, and amplify compelling content to elevate OpenText's market presence across multiple lines of businesses, personas and industries.

Your goal will be to shape content that resonates with our target audiences, drives demand generation, and enhances the customer journey. You'll leverage data-driven insights to refine our strategy, continuously innovate, and ensure that OpenText's voice is consistent and impactful across all platforms and channels.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Develop and Execute Content Strategy: Lead the creation of a robust content marketing strategy that aligns with the company's broader goals, amplifying the OpenText brand in relevant industries.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of content strategists, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality content that meets business objectives.
  • Content Creation and Management: Oversee the development of diverse content formats including blogs, white papers, case studies, video scripts, infographics, and more.
  • Campaign Support: Collaborate with the demand generation and product marketing teams to create targeted content for multi-channel marketing campaigns that fuel customer acquisition and retention.
  • Brand Messaging and Thought Leadership: Craft and refine messaging frameworks that position OpenText as a leader in the Information Management industry. Establish thought leadership through executive communications, industry insights, and market trends.
  • Customer Journey Optimization: Map content to different stages of the buyer's journey, ensuring the right content is delivered at the right time to drive engagement and conversion.
  • SEO and Digital Strategy Alignment: Ensure all content is optimized for search engines and aligns with digital marketing strategies to maximize visibility and engagement.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Use analytics and performance data to measure the impact of content marketing efforts and refine the strategy as needed for improved results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure content aligns with product launches, sales enablement, and go-to-market strategies.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Experience: 10+ years of content marketing, strategy, or related roles within B2B technology industries. Experience leading and managing teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in Information Management, AI, analytics, enterprise software, or related fields is highly preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of managing content teams and delivering successful, impactful content strategies.
  • Content Expertise: Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in diverse content formats including long-form, short-form, and digital content.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Ability to use data and metrics to optimize content strategies and prove ROI.
  • Creative Storytelling: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas into customer-centric messaging.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • SEO & Digital Knowledge: Deep understanding of SEO principles and best practices for digital content optimization.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
