Shift- Days 0700-1530,yet may flex if needed. No weekends and no holidays. Location Southfield, but may travel to Novi, if needed. GENERAL SUMMARY: Leads clinical research projects via study protocols and provides direct patient care for study participants. Responsibilities: Assists with the preparation, submission and management of internal/external compliance documentation at all stages of the research project. Assists with the selection, education, testing, and monitoring of research project participants. Follows protocols and collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of participant care. Documents patient care and study results using appropriate formats and systems. Communicates patient/study results on an on-going basis to research team. Participates in quality assurance/improvement initiatives. Ensures compliance with applicable standards of care and regulatory requirements. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing -OR- Required professional licensure at time of hire. Registered Nurse with minimum 5 years clinical experience, preference of Neuroscience or Stroke experience Prefer previous Research or Performance Improvement/Quality nursing experience. Proficiency with computer applications such as Goggle applications, Microsoft applications and the ability to analyze and effectively communicate data. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes in workloads and priorities. Ability to work under minimal supervision, identify problems and implement solutions. Ability to handle highly sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner, and in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
