PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As customer advocate and OC portfolio brand owner for the Commercial segment, the North American Commercial Insulation Marketing Leader owns the portfolio value proposition across four key commercial brands using a multi-material systems and application-centric approach to the market. This position is responsible for the development of a comprehensive marketing plan, including the the planning, development and execution of the overall marketing strategy, to create compelling and integrated marketing campaigns that drive market adoption of OC products, systems and solutions and deliver growth for the commercial building insulation business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Insulation Brand Strategy

    Working in close collaboration with Insulation Marketing (Minges' team) and the Business Marketing Directors, this role will be responsible for the vision, articulation, consistency (as appropriate), and health/measurement of the OC Brand across the insulation businesses. This will include delivering on both internal (MDC) and external health metrics. In addition, this role with stay closely connected with the Corporate Brand Team to ensure a One OC approach


  • KAM/Segmentation: Contractor Strategy Lead

    In support of Segmentation work, this role will partner closely with Product and S&T to lead Insights generation and HCD work in our segments, to define contractor needs and then turn insights into action. This would include both Commercial, Residential and OEM opportunities, as needed. Work will inform KAM value creation, NPD and market development, as well as value props and marketing messaging.


  • Customer Advocate:

    • Align the commercial building marketing organization around customer centricity, and be the voice of the customer
    • Use data insights and analytics to help deliver outstanding and personal customer experiences across multiple platforms (digital, social, marketing automation, PR, CRM and CDP) using measurable results
    • Work with sales, customers service, and industry tools to advance understanding of customers and identify opportunities for growth within the commercial segment
    • Own persona and journey maps for key target audiences within commercial segment
    • Identify areas of research to gain market-back insights




  • Commercial Channel Stakeholder Engagement Leader:

    • Be the voice of the Owens Corning Commercial Building brand story by creating opportunities to connect with customers via partnerships, sales and multiple platforms (digital, social, PR, marketing automation, CRM and CDP)
    • Lead partner agencies in strategy and messaging for commercial building
    • Lead the development of final portfolio value prop and message map to ensure relevant and consistent communications in market through close collaboration with the marketing team and business directors
    • Own the timing and marketing strategy for internal and external communications across all commercial building businesses
    • Work across OC business to identify marketing opportunities, lead marketing initiatives and partnerships to drive growth of OC multi-systems and applications
    • Own and lead selection of agencies and agency partnerships including development of SOW and performance evaluations
    • Lead and nurture collaborations with AIA, industry partners and publishers/editors across the commercial building segment to help tell our story


  • Key Growth Driver:

    • Play a leading role in developing and managing a plan to achieve sustainable, profitable growth
    • Own and lead the development of marketing communications strategy and planning across commercial brands, systems and applications to drive growth for key initiatives
    • Analyze category financials, market data and insights to maximize ROI
    • Establish and own key performance indicators and metrics for commercial segment
    • Own the marketing budget and work with forecasting and finance leads to drive responsible spend and allocation based on business needs
    • Marketing lead for commercial building steering committees; PRBs; AEC meetings; XPS, Cellular Glass and MW Leadership Meetings; and Global Marketing forums
    • Collaborate across OC businesses to drive multi-systems growth opportunities through marketing


  • Marketing Innovation Leader

    • Lead and work with marketing teams to develop breakthrough customer offerings and advance marketing through test and learns with new digital media, platforms, tools and techniques
    • Work closely with technical and product teams to identify needs and gaps in the market, and develop marketing tools and/or plans to support promotion and/or education/knowledge in the market
    • Partner with Digital Operations Leader to align digitalization marketing goals for the commercial business and identify marketing resources needed to accomplish goals
    • Work with Digital Operations Team to make sure capabilities, resources and funding align to support all initiatives across commercial businesses
    • Partner with global marketing leaders at OC to exchange knowledge and inform of marketing activities


  • Talent Builder:

    • Lead, manage and develop talent within team, act as a mentor within the department and across the function, and promote diversion and inclusion within the team
    • Develop key marketing capabilities (digital expertise, customer data and insights, data analytics, technology fluency) within the team to help the organization win both short and long term
    • Own and support the development and training of talent to help them achieve their career goals
    • Lead team to achieve KPI to support business goals across brands
    • Lead by example and create opportunities to share knowledge to foster growth and development of talent
    • Identify opportunities for exchange of global marketing talent to build and develop talent
