Sales Clerk & Quality Assurance

High school diploma or equivalency.

Displaying merchandise, making sales to customers, and taking inventory of stock; processing AppCard/debit/credit payments for purchases in the University Market.

Duties include quality assurance review and electronic reporting on vending machines on campus. Maintain service vehicle for delivery and have the ability to lift heavy loads (50lbs.) and endure extreme heat and cold temperatures.

All ASU Campus Dining employees may be required to work during home football games or any other special campus event as needed. Campus work location may vary depending on the event.

Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, able to stock shelves with merchandise.
Ability to ring up sales as customers bring products to the cashier area to be checked out.
Ability to make change for cash transactions.
Ability to make rounds to campus locations to observe, test, and report on condition and function of vending machines, Scala signage, and other facility infrastructure as needed.

Prefer individual who has advanced experience in sale, merchandising, inventory.
Previous experience with AppCard or other debit/credit payment systems a plus.
Previous route sales/service and experience maintaining POS systems preferred.

Mon.-Fri., 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Employee may be required to work special campus events, including during home football games. Schedules will be adjusted as needed to provide coverage for these events.
