Function:

Maintenance Job Summary:The toolroom attendant is responsible for operational tasks performed in the maintenance toolroom; issuing, and receiving of tools and equipment, organizing and placing items in the appropriate locations and assist with providing security controls of materials issued from the toolroom. The toolroom attendant will also be responsible for maintain and reordering consumable and safety supplies issued from the toolroom. Job Description:

1. Supports site EHS activities through compliance with all environmental, health and safety policies/procedures, and through active participation in EHS programs and initiatives.

2. Supports the annual and long-term goals; outlined in the company strategic and detail plans.

3. Inventories, stores, and distributes tools, personal protective equipment, shop supplies and other equipment.

4. Mark and identify tools, fixtures, and other equipment by using identification tag, stamp, or other marking tool.
5. Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage.

6. Verifies materials and tooling received were ordered; match to purchase order; while also verifying quantity delivered, inspect materials received for damage, mark inventory items with the appropriate stock number and location, and notify plant personnel that materials ordered have been received.

7. Resolves receipt issues with material suppliers over damaged goods, shipments, incorrect materials and delivery of materials to the incorrect CF location; and works with suppliers to arrange for pick-up items that were shipped incorrectly, damaged or were not ordered.

8. Perform Field Inventory of Job Boxes.

9. Visually inspects tools for wear and defects and will order replacement tools as required with appropriate approvals.

10. Prepares shipping memos for all material, equipment, scrap, etc. sent off site; includes materials returned to suppliers, scrap sales, equipment sent out for repair, disposal of regulated and non-hazardous wastes, and materials sent out for fabrication.

11. Works with Procurement personnel to purchase materials when needed and with suppliers when assigned to expedite materials.

12. Assists Accounts Payable with the resolution of receipt and invoice issues related to material deliveries.

13. Understands and complies with established departmental processes and procedures designed to support internal controls efforts.Identifies and brings to the attention of department management internal controls deficiencies.

Position Requirements:

1. High School diploma

2. Experience within the material control field helpful

3. Knowledge of Material Control practices and internal control objectives helpful

4. Good oral and written skills

5. Ability to enter data through a PC into a materials control system
