Job Overview:
Our client, a leading company in the financial technologyindustry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts PayableManager. This is a temp-to-perm position with the opportunity to lead the AP function, manage a small team, and drive the implementation of new tools. The AP Manager will oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including high-volume invoice matching, approvals, and management of a team based in Manila.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of invoices.
  • Manage a team of 3-4 AP professionals based in Manila, providing leadership, direction, and guidance.
  • Implement and manage the new P2P tool, ZIP HQ, ensuring smooth integration and adoption across the team.
  • Oversee the matching of invoices to purchase orders (POs), maintaining a deep understanding of the matching process (approximately 400 invoices/month).
  • Set up and enforce the correct approval matrix for invoices, in alignment with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve any issues, escalate when necessary, and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Prioritize workload and manage team tasks to ensure timely completion of all AP-related functions.
  • Continuously assess processes for improvement, providing feedback and recommendations for enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in accounts payable, with a strong background in full-cycle AP management.
  • Proven experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of the AP and TE (Trade Expense) space.
  • Demonstrated experience in high-volume invoice matching (400 invoices per month).
  • Ability to design and implement effective approval matrices in line with corporate policies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with prior experience managing teams in remote or offshore locations (preferably in Manila).
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues, escalating as needed.
  • Proficiency in working with internal teams and external vendors to manage and resolve AP-related issues.
  • Highly organized with excellent prioritization and time-management skills.
  • Ability to receive and act upon feedback, with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
