Description Position Located in Pensacola FL This position's primary role will be a Network Technician servicing a large scale Naval site network. You will be part of a Team of Network Technicians and Engineers servicing the NGEN Navy Pensacola site. This positions will support LAN network devices across base including router switches cabling desktops, WAP's, VLAN, VPN etc. (Cisco, Aruba, Brocade, Juniper, Riverbed and McAfee network devices) Provide network technical advice and assistance during the planning phase of a deployment or exercise and coordinate swift solutions to networking problems during the execution phase Provide direct computer and network support to include router, firewall, Intrusion Detection Systems/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Domain Name System (DNS), Active Directory (AD) and Exchange, configuration, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting to NMCI deployed units Assist in the development and execution of Information Assurance (IA) training for deployed units Provide direct support to the D-30 process Skills Troubleshooting, Switches, Data center, Lan, Router, Vpn, support, hardware, imaging, deployment, desktop, cabling, Firewall, Wireless, Infrastructure, Routers and switches, Network infrastructure, Configuration, windows 10, windows, active directory, ccna, cisco routers, cable, rack and stack, technical support, asset management, voip, help desk, help desk support, cisco switches, win10, install, security+, windows 7, wan, network support Top Skills Details Troubleshooting, Switches, Data center,Lan,Router,Vpn,support,hardware,imaging,deployment,desktop,cabling Additional Skills & Qualifications Consultants supporting the Transport (TX) side of the organization will be required to obtain CCNA within 6 months - waivers can be granted and extended at the discretion of the government customer. CCNA Certification (or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment) Minimum 1 year of IT networking experience and strong knowledge of network concepts Experience Level Intermediate Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.05 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
