Job Description Summary

The Department of Statistical Sciences is seeking applications for several Visiting Assistant Professor positions in Statistics beginning July 2025. We seek highly qualified candidates who have a commitment to excellence in teaching. A Ph.D. in Statistics or a related area is preferred, but exceptional candidates with a Master's degree in Statistics or a related area will also be considered. The teaching load for this position is three courses per semester, and the position is renewable for up to three years subject to performance and future enrollment needs of the department.

Job Description:

The department hasfourteen permanent faculty members, whose research interests include the areas of: actuarial science, applied probability, Bayesian methods, bioinformatics, biostatistics, causal inference, clinical trials, environmental statistics, foundations of statistics, functional data analysis, measurement error, missing data, networks, record linkage, spatial epidemiology, spatio-temporal models, and statistics education. Statistics programs within the department include a B.S. and B.A. in Statistics, a B.S. in Applied Statistics, a B.S. in Decision Analytics, and an M.S. in Statistics.
