Extrusion Operator - Night Shift

At TC Transcontinental, we've got it made, and that's because of the expertise of our team. We are currently looking for a full-time Extrusion Operator to support production at our Ontario plant. Essential to TC Transcontinental Packaging operations, the Extrusion Operator performs machine set-up for orders, safely operates machine to production target, waste, and quality standards, and trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard.

When your actions lead to success.
  • Operate machinewithin standard production targets and waste limits.

  • Perform troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments.

  • Ensure the quality of the products by identifying film/extrusion issues.

  • Track and record production, waste, and material usage.

  • Adjusts machine components to regulate speed, pressures, temperatures, amounts, dimensions, and flow of materials.

  • Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.

  • Climb up to 6 flights of stairs when performing set up procedures, sometimes working near heat.


When your expertise drives us.
  • High school Diploma or equivalent education and experience

  • Minimum 1-year experience in Extrusion at a plastic packaging environment or equivalent machine operation experience

  • Minimum 2-years' experience in Manufacturing

  • Intermediate use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical problems

  • Ability to life and carry up to 50lbs
