The Opportunity:

The part-time Writer I will assist with creating content for Pegasus magazine, UCF Today and other UCF Marketing projects through research, create questions, connect with sources, conduct interviews, write and/or create content, and edit content for assignments.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation:


  • Produce high-quality, engaging written content across various formats (articles, blog posts, social media updates, website copy, etc.)

  • Conduct thorough research and gather information from reliable sources.

  • Ensure all content is accurate, informative, and free of grammatical errors.


Editorial Support:


  • Assist with the editing and proofreading of content.

  • Contribute to content strategy and brainstorming sessions.


Collaboration:


  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, etc.) to achieve project goals.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.


Brand Voice:


  • Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across all platforms.

  • Adapt writing style to suit the target audience and platform.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a relevant field.

  • Two years experience in a relevant field.

  • Proven proficiency in AP style editing skills.
