POSITION SUMMARY:

Pepper is seeking a proactive, self-starter, motivated candidate for a full-time marketing coordinator position in Indianapolis. The position offers opportunities in many facets of marketing, with different responsibilities every day. The marketing coordinator's primary role is supporting thecreation of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials in a deadline-driven environment. This position requires a strategic thought process, clear communication, strong writing skills, attention to detail, customer service and the ability to work effectively with all levels of employees.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Support the response process for qualifications and proposals, including organization, strategic recommendations, information gathering, writing, and editing text, design and layout and production
  • Support preparation for interview presentations and creation of supporting content / materials
  • Attend content strategy meetings and assist in gathering information and writing stories on in-progress and completed projects for use in proposals, case studies, brochures, and website
  • Prepare introductory market overview brochures and supporting materials
  • Assist in managing and updating marketing database and creation of marketing materials i.e., narratives, resumes and project cards
  • Work with team to develop awards and submissions materials, survey responses, project overviews, case studies, e-blast and social media content for events, project and employee announcements and activities
  • Other various PR/Communications projects as needed
  • Assist with the coordination of project and staff photography
  • Produce key marketing materials such as resumes, project cards, presentations, and brochures
  • Assist teams with tradeshows by gathering / creating tradeshow collateral, promotional items and testing/evaluating the booth setup
  • Organize and conduct market research (as needed)


  • Provide internal support to departments, committees, and events
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary



POSITION REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field
  • At least 1 - 3 years relevant experience (required)
  • Ability to accurately type 50 WPM
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe InDesign is required
  • Other Adobe Creative Suiteapplications such as Photoshop and/or Illustrator are preferred
  • Creative and strong graphic and page layout design and strong writing and proofing skills (AP style), with an emphasis on quality and accuracy as evidenced by samples (required)
  • Experience with a Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, video editing and passion for photography preferred
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Must have strong organizational skills, show initiative, savvy time management skills and the ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Ability to think critically and exercise independent judgment and discretion
  • Strategic mindset, attention to detail and creative problem-solver
  • Some travel to local jobsites may be required occasionally

The ability to demonstrate software proficiency and technical ability will be required during the interview process. This position provides an opportunity for increased responsibility and advancement.

This position is primarily on site in our Indianapolis office. We provide a flexible work schedule, allowing for one remote day per week.
