IT Project Manager I / II | IT PMO

Are you an emerging IT professional eager to grow your project management expertise? We are seeking an IT Project Manager I / II to join our IT Project Management Office (PMO). In this role, you will lead and contribute to the successful delivery of IT projects that support critical business objectives while honing your skills in project planning, coordination, and execution.


What Your Day Will Look Like

You are responsible for:



  • Project Coordination: Manage smaller-scale or less complex IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Resource Management: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to allocate resources effectively and maintain project momentum.
  • Execution Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and deliverables while proactively addressing risks and dependencies.
  • Team Collaboration: Support cross-functional teams, fostering clear communication and collaboration to achieve project goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Provide regular updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

Minimum Requirements

IT Project Manager I | IT PMO



  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university
  • AND two (2) years job-related project management experience.
  • In lieu of bachelors degree, combination of college coursework and/or experience as a Project Manager or in positions defining and/or managing project scopes, timelines, budgets and delivery equaling four (4) years.



IT Project Manager II | IT PMO



  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university
  • AND five (5) years job-related project management experience.
  • In lieu of bachelors degree, combination of college coursework and/or experience as a Project Manager or in positions defining and/or managing project scopes, timelines, budgets and delivery equaling nine (9) years.
  • Experience managing multiple small-to-medium size projects simultaneously.


Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications



  • Extensive understanding of project management processes, principles and methodologies.
  • General functional/technical knowledge of the business units line of business, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication and people management skills.
  • Easily adapts to change and uncertainty.
  • PMP certification preferred.

Major Accountabilities

1) Plans, monitors and manages all aspects of multiple, smaller scale projects including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure in accordance with internal process methodologies. Ensures completion according to project plan (i.e. scope, schedule, budget). May support more senior Project Managers on larger projects.

2) Develops and presents comprehensive project plan to project sponsors and management. Obtains all necessary approvals.

3) Leads or coordinates project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, people management, and troubleshooting.

4) Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.

5) Oversees schedules and directs team resources. Ensures that materials, equipment or resources are delivered on time.

6) Ensures project results meet requirements regarding quality, reliability, schedule and cost.

7) Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to project teams, business management, and project sponsors.
