JOB TITLE: Sr Manager, Global Fulfilment & Trade Compliance

JOB SUMMARY

The Global Fulfilment and Trade Compliance Senior Manager leads the logistics network across the company to deliver operational excellence, strategic solutions and cost optimization. This role sets the strategy across the global network and oversees all domestic, international transportation and managed 3rd party logistics providers, from suppliers to plants to the distribution centers, as well as the outbound transportation to customers in close partnership and collaboration with the regional supply chain fulfillment teams and global indirect procurement.

This role manages all internal, cross-functional relationships and oversees vendor relationships to ensure on-time performance while controlling costs. This position establishes the strategic direction and long-term objectives for the global logistics & trade compliance pillar and ensures consistent and optimal movement through the supply chain.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES



  • Is part of the Global Supply Chain Fulfillment Leadership Team
  • Accountable for the Supply Chain Strategy for logistics and Trade (5-year horizon) to ensure Supply Chain can support the projected business growth (people / process / technology) synchronizing with the end to roadmap.
  • Oversees all transportation modes, 3PL relationships and trade compliance - defines with regional fulfilment leads global best in class standards to be executed by regional team/plants.
  • Brings transparency through analytics - manage, and communicate performance/risk of transportation spend and service through global MMR's focused on mode, mix, volume
  • Accountable for the development and implementation of fulfillment strategies, partnering with indirect procurement to execute RFPs and negotiate contracts, managing relationships with service providers for warehousing, small parcel, LTL, truckload, ocean and air freight shipments. Supports the plants and direct procurement teams with the inbound freight management through contract negotiation, system integration, and escalations.
  • Accountable for the global network design and configuration - partners with regional fulfillment team to build roadmap for warehouse and transportation optimization leveraging LRP sales growth to optimize service and cost.
  • Accountable for setting standard global processes (aligned to S4 Hana) and fulfilment technology roadmap to ensure optimum end to end transportation and 3PL management - Transport Management Systems (TMS), Freight audit and pay, network optimization, trade compliance, and KPI analytics to support.
  • Defines and deploys global trade compliance strategy for Terumo to ensure compliance whilst leveraging global trade policy opportunities to drive velocity and cost improvements (customs harmonization, free trade zone's, free trade agreements, sanctioned countries, import/export compliance including classification of goods)
  • Accountable for the Supply Chain Strategy for logistics and Trade (5-year horizon) to ensure Supply Chain can support the projected business growth (people / process / technology) synchronizing with the end to roadmap.
  • Partners with Global Quality and R&D team to define, document and implement global transportation policies and execution across all warehouses / plants - Equipment, Pallets & Configuration etc.
  • Partners with global EHS team to ensure standard measurement system in place and strategies to meet regional/global governmental directives.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education



  • Bachelor's degree preferably in business with a concentration in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or similar discipline or equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • Masters Degree desired.



Experience



  • Minimum 10 years' global experience within Transportation, Logistics, and Warehousing (3PL/4PL/inhouse)
  • Minimum 5 years owning Carrier negotiations and performance, with a proven track record of negotiating large freight contracts across multiple modes of transportation in all geographies
  • Selecting and implementing best in class transportation and trade compliance systems, TMS etc.
  • Transitioning successfully fulfillment and trade compliance processes from SAP ECC to S4/Hana advantageous.

Target Pay Range:$153,800.00to$192,200.00 -Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data

Target Bonus on Base:20.0%
