Rank will be determined based on combined education and years of experience in the relevant specialization. The Sandler-Moore Mass Spectrometry Core Facility is a designated enabling technology center that serves as a mass spectrometry resource for the UCSF proteomics research community. Highly trained staff operate and maintain the instrumentation, along with associated bioinformatics hardware and software that allows the facility to offer a comprehensive suite of MS-based proteomic services. Preferred Qualifications:
The start date is flexible until the position is filled. A two-year commitment is preferred. Appointees in the Specialist series are expected to engage in specialized research and professional activities and do not have teaching responsibilities. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions and participate in University and Public Service. Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed throughout the recruitment period. Salary will be commensurate with the applicants experience and training. See Table 24B for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $53,100-$85,000.
