Application Window Open date: January 23, 2025 Next review date: Friday, Feb 7, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Jul 23, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Associate Specialist - Weaver Laboratory The Weaver Laboratory at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an independent Associate Specialist to study links between obesity and PDAC cancer risk and progression focusing on the interplay between tissue tension and tumor immunity. This position will participate in studies related to tension dependent breast and PDAC metastasis as it relates to inflammation. This position will also be expected to manipulate genetically engineered mouse models, PDXs and PDOs as well as murine organoid models. Additionally, this position will be expected to contribute to interactions and collaborations with Weill grant participants and collaborators. Candidates must have a Master's degree (or equivalent degree) in a biological science discipline or related fields or have at least 5-10 years of research experience.
