City Experiences is seeking a Maintenance Trades Helper for our Statue Cruises operation in Jersey City, NJ.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

This person will be part of the Maintenance Team and will be responsible for the maintenance and appearance of the vessels. We are a quality hospitality organization that serves the public year round. Working weekends and holidays may be required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Assist one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill such as: keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools, cleaning working area, machine, and equipment.
  • Assist by holding materials or tools; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed.
  • Learn, acquire skills and perform tasks as instructed and directed.
  • Assist with fueling, filling water, pumping sewage, connecting /disconnecting shore power as directed.
  • Accepts tasks and work orders from the duty Port Engineer and executes tasks.
  • Utilize power tools to accomplish designated tasks.
  • Seek the highest levels of quality and professionalism.
  • Additional job duties as assigned


Requirements & Qualifications:



  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Strong hands-on experience of vessel engineering and maintenance.
  • Must have basic set of hand tools.
  • Must know how to safely and properly use hand and power tools needed for the job.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency response.


Salary Range $25/hr
