Position Summary

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for overall pricing support to the internal Berg business team and works as a key business partner. This position is also responsible for supporting commercial teams, helping monitor the quoting queue, providing real-time insights to the sales & ops teams, and any pricing deviation support. This role will have a wide degree of latitude to improve our tactical and strategic pricing structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively look out for market trends and activities that may impact pricing/margins and provide timely advice to management.
  • Help resolve escalated discrepancies relating to data integrity, pricing issues, and trade pricing/promotional management.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders within our internal team and the customers to relay key information, pricing discrepancies, and any other rebate, pricing questions, or chargeback concerns.
  • Support price list creation process and regular updates of pricelist in line with the company's pricing policy.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand business performance as it relates to pricing programs, rebates, and chargebacks.
  • Collaborate with product management, customer service, engineering, and other department leaders on roadmap planning and prioritization of pricing strategies and pricing adjustments.
  • Support the customer master data strategy by assisting in setup and maintaining customer master data within the ERP system to ensure business requirements are achieved.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the entire quote to cash process and how changes influence the process flow and data integrity.
  • Drive process improvements, and work with management to implement changes.
  • Archive and register data relevant to product pricing formula.
  • Negotiate price for each order to meet customer certification requirements and requested delivery dates.
  • Research cost/profit data to determine price to achieve maximum operating profit and sales.
  • Research, analyze and negotiate price, delivery date and customer certification requirements.
  • Interaction with commercial and business leaders within Specialty Components providing real time, actionable data, and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial, mathematics, statistics, finance or analytical and data intensive environments. (Mechanical engineering knowledge a plus)
  • Strong organization, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Ability to structure and quickly synthesize large volume of data to develop actionable insights
  • Intellectual curiosity of how to manage and deliver commercial outcomes more intelligently and efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook),
  • Strong business applications/tools experience, such as SAP, Salesforce.com, and forecasting techniques; coding knowledge a plus.
