SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Manager, Public Safety and Security leads a world-class security department who ensures the protection of St. Louis City SC guests, team, employees, and property. The Manager, Public Safety and Security will be responsible for overseeing the daily safety & security operations for the MLS Stadium and Training facility, along with event security services, and security for all team players and staff travel. This role will also be responsible for carrying out all emergency response procedures for the stadium.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assist in Supervising security contractors to provide 24/7/365 security for the stadium and event related security services.
  • Manage use of CITYPARK District parking lots
  • Provide Public Safety & Security presence for all assigned events at the stadium and training facility.
  • Provide onsite and offsite security presence for St. Louis CITY SC players and staff. Travel with team to coordinate security plans with stadium, hotel and local security officials. Approximate travel requirements will be 20%.
  • Prepare Pre-Trip Risk Assessment for all Team travel.
  • Follow all department policies and procedures related to Safety and Security.
  • Ensure compliance with annual Security Operations budget.
  • Conduct safety and security investigations. Prepare accurate and detailed reports related to risk related incidents at CITYPARK District.
  • Conduct daily risk assessments to the stadium. Develop risk mitigation tactics to reduce risk to the stadium.
  • Assists the Director of Safety and Security as St. Louis City SC liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, fire, and EMS to coordinate security plans at the stadium.
  • Ensure all emergency preparedness efforts including emergency response plans and business recovery plans are followed, including training and exercising of emergency repones plans.
  • Ensure all safety and security equipment and systems are in place and operational.
  • Maintain contacts within the industry to remain up to date with latest security applications and issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10 years of law enforcement or military and/or corporate security.
  • Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice or related field preferred. Certified Security Professional.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in crowd management at a large public venue with a professional sports team.
  • Knowledge in corporate facility and event security issues and best practices. Knowledge of DHS Safety Act Certification.
  • Knowledge of security equipment, systems, procedures, and standards.
