- Assembles or modifies electromechanical equipment (Switchboards, Lighting panels) using mechanical tools and blueprints.
- Operates tools and equipment standards for the mechanical trade (hand & power tools).
- Process work orders (using computers and scanning devices) according to the production schedule or expedited orders.
- Scans in and out of work orders (using computers, scanning devices) in adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders.
- Reads and interprets documents for completing mechanical assembly assignments (blueprints, bill of materials, one-line diagrams).
- Gathers parts and accessories required in the assembly process.
- Assembles fabricated parts to create unit assemblies (Switchboards & Lighting Panels) or subassemblies.
- Fastens parts on cubicles or frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies.
- Connects cables and essential wires.
- Verifies that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
- Disassemble units to adjust or replace parts.
- Marks unit assemblies with identifying information or attaches identifying tags.
- Reports non-conforming items (parts, schematics, blueprints)
- Prepares finished units for shipping (packing, sealing, labelling)
- Cleans and maintains equipment and work area to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
- Accesses and utilizes various documents, with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture of products in assembly (Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions).
- Focused on meeting or exceeding the excellence of products, services, and work activities measured against pre-set standards.
- Willingly assists others by offering guidance, sharing knowledge, teaching skills, or directly performing a task to help out.
- Puts team objectives ahead of personal interests.
- Willingly accepts organizational changes and responds with appropriate urgency and actions.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Operating computers, and use of basic mechanical/measuring tools.

- Must reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material.
- Must stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
- Must be able to make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
- The job typically involves working indoors, being assigned to any of the different shifts, occasionally lifting heavy materials, wearing standard safety equipment (cut-resistant gloves and sleeves, safety shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs), being exposed to loud noises, and the possibility of bumps, cuts, scrapes, and strains.
