Nursing Manager - Operating Room - Full Time Days Department: Operating Room Schedule: Full Time Days Hospital: Henry Ford Genesys Location: Grand Blanc, Michigan GENERAL SUMMARY: Manages activities, workflow and nursing resources for one or more assigned nursing units. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s). Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s). Develops and implements policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s). Develops and maintains quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s). Monitors and adheres to budget. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines. Ensures a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction. Conducts hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff. Education/Experience Requirements: Required professional licensure/certification, associate's degree in nursing. Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained before the hire date or job transfer date required. 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required. Certified BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained on the hire date or job transfer date. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, a minimum of two years of leadership experience preferred. Preferred experience in surgical services.
