Advantage Technical is hiring an Industrial Engineer to support a major name-brand automotive manufacturer, where you'll play a key role in improving plant efficiency, labor utilization, ergonomics, and manufacturing processes.

This position focuses on developing and maintaining labor standards, work methods, and capacity planning while supporting plant operations and future model launches. You'll lead and support efficiency improvement projects, line rebalances, and time studies, working closely with production leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and install direct and indirect labor standards
  • Track labor performance, efficiencies, RTOs, and off standards
  • Lead plant efficiency improvement and re-balancing projects
  • Conduct time & motion, MODAPTS, and ergonomic studies
  • Analyze constraints, cycle times, and equipment performance
  • Support capacity planning, headcount mapping, and budgeting
  • Review layout, process, and material flow changes
  • Prepare reports and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Interface with Production Supervision and the UAW as needed


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree (Industrial Engineering preferred)
  • Strong skills in labor analysis, productivity analysis, and time studies
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Clear communication skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesSelf-driven, collaborative, and results-focused mindset


Preferred Experience



  • 3-5 years in manufacturing or industrial engineering
  • MODAPTS, ergonomic tools, GSPAS/APT, or AutoCAD experience
