Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join our Healdsburg, California team. This position performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). This role also evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. The Maintenance Technician II performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance). In addition they troubleshoot and diagnoses equipment problems and prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.

*We are on a 9/80 schedule (9 hour days Monday - Thursday, alternating Fridays off, opposite Fridays 8 hour days). This is a full-time on-site position.



Major Position Responsibilities

    Devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility.
  • Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders.
  • Develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system.
  • Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime.
  • Utilizes planning and scheduling methods to ensure the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible.
  • Typically uses a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance.
  • Monitors spare parts inventory to ensure availability of required parts.


Basic Qualifications

  • Eqivalent Combination of Relevant Education and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
  • Oral and written communication skills. Ability to understand and follow directions. Manual dexterity. Ability to lift/move heavy objects. Physical stamina.
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office


Pay Range (USD)

$65,450 - $121,550 annually


Pay Transparency Statement

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process.


Additional Compensation

Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
