Overview:

Veeco seeks a Human Resources Coordinator to perform administrative duties for the North American Veeco HR team and function. This role will have exposure to a broad range of HR activities and business partners. You will support various activities such as employee data changes, letter creation, and data integrity. The position will report to the Sr. Director, Human Resources, based in Plainview, NY.

**This role can be done as a hybrid but must live within commutable distance of Veeco's Plainview, NY, office.**

Responsibilities:



  • Processes HR information and employee actions into SAP HRIS.
  • Completes paperwork for HR transactions (new hires, transfers, promotions, salary adjustments, terminations, etc.) and forwards to Corporate HR.
  • Supports HR Business Partners in immigration processes.
  • Ensures data integrity across HR systems (SAP, SuccessFactors, E-Verify system, Weichert relocation, etc.).
  • Run HR and Recruitment reports; submit Workman Compensation claims.
  • Help support the effective onboarding of new hires working with hiring managers on plans and equipment procurement.
  • Processes E-Verify and I-9s.
  • Conducts periodic check-ins with new hires to ensure a favorable onboarding experience.
  • Supports employee events and activities to foster a work environment of inclusivity and a sense of community.
  • Supports key HR initiatives as needed.
  • Handles special projects as assigned.



Qualifications:

BA or BS degree in Business Management or Human Resources preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



  • HRIS experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage sensitive employee data with great care
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and organizational skills required
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to establish and foster healthy working relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Must be a self-starter, detailed-oriented, and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously

The expected salary range for this position is $34,600 - $50,000, plus bonus opportunity. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
