Peachford Hospital is a 246-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Dunwoody. We provide inpatient care for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, in addition to partial hospitalization and other outpatient programs. Peachford has been providing compassionate care since 1973 and nearly 10,000 patients receive seek treatment here every year.

We are currently searching for an experienced Behavioral Health UR Coordinator for our fast paced Utilization Review Department. This is NOT a nursing (RN) position.

UR Coordinators proactively monitor the utilization of hospital services and optimize reimbursement. Having an understanding and an ability to communicate insurance information to others, including benefits coverage and levels of care offered will help to make you successful in this role.

What Will You Get To Do?
UR Coordinators are responsible for these and other duties:

  • Communicate pertinent insurance issues to doctor and treatment team.
  • Work with Admissions Services to stay abreast of admissions and/or pending authorizations.
  • Conduct concurrent and extended stay reviews with insurance companies. Gather information for the reviews from the patient record and seeking information from the treatment team.
  • Prepare and submit appeals to insurance companies, ensuring all pertinent data is received to support the hospital and patient's position.

Qualifications

What Does Peachford Require for this Role?
A bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience is required and previous inpatient/outpatient hospital experience is preferred. One year of prior healthcare, social services, mental health or addictive disease experience is also preferred.
