We have an opening for a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer at our nVent Greenville, Pennsylvania campus (formerly ILSCO Extrusions), that specializes in extruded and fabricated aluminum componentry for intercompany and external third-party customers. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, this position will focus on the design, development, and implementation of systems that control equipment or machinery at the facility. IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL:
Be responsible for researching and integrating the most effective control solutions based on industry standards, safety requirements, and efficiency considerations. Design and develop control systems and strategies to meet project requirements Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project completion within the given timeline and budget Perform system diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and correct issues in real-time Conduct system simulations and testing to ensure functionality and performance Develop specifications and detailed documentation for control system design Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards Program and configure PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) based systems (Allen Bradley) Provide training and technical support to maintenance staff and users Keep up to date with the latest technology trends in control engineering Contribute to the continuous improvement of control systems and practices
YOU HAVE:
An engineering degree required, preferred in Electrical Engineering, with 5+ years of practical work experience Ability to develop PLC Programming, HMI's, including detailed diagnostics Good knowledge of systems and processes Experience in an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing facility, with preference given for experience in the aluminum extrusion or process manufacturing industries Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and combustion, including hydraulic valves, pumps and motors, electrical circuit detection and repair, welding, pneumatic cylinders, relays, switches, and preventative maintenance techniques The ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and PLC programs
