What this job involves: Oversee and participate in cleaning and sanitizing the facility, manage inventory control, enforce and support all policies set forth by management including safety procedures. Lead and mentor a team of cleaners to ensure high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.
What your day-to-day will look like: Supervise and coordinate the cleaning team's daily activities. Assign tasks and create work schedules for team members. Train new employees on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures. Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of cleaned areas. Manage and maintain cleaning supplies inventory. Lead by example in cleaning and sanitizing facility restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures. Oversee the cleaning, dusting, and wiping of furniture; sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming floors; emptying/cleaning wastebaskets and trash containers. Ensure timely refilling of restroom dispensers and reordering of supplies. Coordinate the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, and events as required * Supervise and participate in stripping, cleaning, buffing, and applying floor sealer and finish to hard surface floors. Oversee carpet vacuuming and shampooing. Ensure proper use and maintenance of assigned power equipment and hand tools. Review and maintain cleaning activity logs. Conduct regular security checks for unlocked doors and windows, reporting any unauthorized occupants. Manage outdoor cleaning tasks including debris removal from sidewalks, grounds, and parking lots. Oversee the handling of recycling materials. Lead inventory control efforts. Enforce and support policies established by management. Identify and address safety concerns promptly. Foster teamwork and effective communication among staff. Implement quality control measures and address quality issues. Operate and train others on the use of manual pallet jacks. Desired or preferred experience and technical skills: Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong organizational and time management skills. Able to work in a customer service environment interacting with clients. Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure. Required Skills and Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial cleaning. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Must have adequate skills to perform and oversee required job functions with minimal supervision. Strong ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports. Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures. Estimated total compensation for this position: 21.00 - 22.00 USD Hourly The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed.
