Financial Analyst

Job Summary

This role is accountable for preparing and providing accurate, timely and reliable financial reports to various divisions, managers, and stakeholders of the Company. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will support the preparation of the annual budget as well as the monthly forecast, while ensuring alignment with Graniterock's Family Vision, Core Purpose, Core Values, Strategic priorities and business objectives.

Essential Job Accountabilities

1. Comply, understand, and promote safety initiatives to ensure "Safety before All Else."

2. Generate and publish the monthly financial statements to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable financial information in accordance with each of the respective governing principles (e.g., GAAP, IRS, etc.).

3. Support the annual Corporate budget planning process including monthly forecasting for branch management and Executive Team to assess performance.

4. Prepare various financial scenarios and models to assist with planning and decision-making.

5. Collaborate with branch locations on their operational financial reporting needs to develop accurate and reliable analysis reporting for them to assess performance and act as needed.

6. Perform other related duties as required and determined by CFO and management.

Education and Work Experience

* Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting

* CPA/MBA preferred

* 1-3 years preparing and presenting various financial reports and analysis.

* 1-3 years experience in financial reporting and knowledge of J.D. Edwards ERP, Crystal Enterprise Reporting, Hubble Reporting, Hyperion or other financial reporting software.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge of general accounting and economic principles as well as Compliance.

* Ability to analyze data and make recommendations to management.

* Detail oriented with ability to prepare clear and comprehensive oral and written reports and presentations.

* Professional, highly motivated, team oriented individual that has the ability to handle multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines while maintain a strong focus on customer services.

* Strong Microsoft Office tools including Excel and report writing.

* JD Edwards knowledge is desired.

* Must have valid CA Driver's license and clean driving record.
