About the opportunity

SWCA is looking for a Software Developer with experience in each of the phases of development, including requirements, design, coding, implementation, and test and maintenance.

What you will accomplish

  • Develop and maintain web applications using modern JavaScript (React) and Python
  • Utilize Git/GitHub actions for version control and CI/CD
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions
  • Continuously research and implement new software trends and technologies, including integrations with other systems
  • Actively look for ways to improve the codebase
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Team oriented approach is a must

Experience and qualifications for success

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Python standard libraries and modern web technologies (ES6+, React, REST, JSON, HTML5, CSS3, etc)
  • Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL), data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
  • Prior experience with project ownership by identifying project deliverables by defining goals, setting objectives and tasks, creating a timeline and delivering results
  • Experience with cloud hosting platforms (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable) or other cloud services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and/or Docker

An employee in this corporate based position can expect a pay rate of $79,747/year - $104,457/year. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
