YOU

As an Associate Packer - Autos, you will be responsible for packing products and components in boxes. This position will follow the second shift schedule, Monday - Thursday, 4:00 pm - 2:30 am. You will receive a $2.00 shift differential for every hour worked.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)

Count, package and palletize finished product/components in accordance with work orders. May include packing on a production line. (85%)

Assist in other production operations as needed. (10%)

Maintain work area to 6S standards. (5%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • 1 year related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Safety: Ability to consistently prioritize safety by demonstrating a safe work practice by promoting a safe work environment.
  • Accountability & Dependability: Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
  • Mathematical Reasoning: Able to apply basic math skills.
  • Language: Ability to read and write standard work instructions and correspondence.
  • Speaking: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Instruction Comprehension: Able to comprehend a variety of instructions furnished in English, including written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Communication: Able to communicate one-on-one and in small group settings.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify options for solving a problem encountered during the manufacturing process.
  • Computer Skills: Able to use computer, touchscreen, and tablet to perform daily tasks and required training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.

TRAVEL REQUIRED

This job requires 0% domestic travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Columbus, OH.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

Pay

$14.90 - $22.36 / hour
