Reports problems relating to staff morale, work methods, and procedures to the Director of Imaging Services and/or Manager and makes recommendations for improvements. Monitors staff levels and assists Managers with employee and patient schedules as needed.a. Provides oversight, including positive and professional atmosphere for department and technical staff to provide for the production of high quality work. Completed department orientation a/or competency skill rosters as required. Completes annual reviews in a timely manner. Has ability to work with other leads and participates as a team player. Supervises technical skills to assure efficient and quality patient care. Assures safe department operation and the ability to work with other leads. Oversight of all ultrasound departments under CRMC.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

• Ability to keep neat accurate records.
• Ability to follow physician's orders.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Effective of effective organizational skills.
• Knowledge of current advances in related technologies.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Minimum five years experience as a sonographer at an acute care facility.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

• Diploma from a certified school of ultrasound or equivalent preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

• RDMS, required
• Current BLS certification required from American Heart Assocation .
