Summary:

This position's main responsibilities include maintaining compliance with standards and regulations, providing technical expertise, and planning and performing lab activities. This role provides feedback internally, proposing new and effective ways to resolve problems and improve productivity (i.e., continuous improvement efforts), while maintaining broad knowledge of policies, procedures, and resources.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Ensure adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross functional groups (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, materials).
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement and development of Quality Assurance practices and procedures.
  • Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment; conducts testing as required.
  • Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  • Conduct and oversee internal and external auditors' audits.
  • Investigate Corrective Actions, find root cause and identify solutions.
  • Coordinate and Track Supplier/Vendor Performance and Results
  • Perform metallographic evaluations and document various manufacturing processes of high-pressure turbine blade and vane airfoils.
  • Report writing and analysis on the metallurgical evaluations.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science - Chemistry preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an AS9100 or equivalent Quality Management System
  • Auditing Experience Preferred
  • Lean Six-Sigma Experience Preferred


  • Ability to communicate in English including the ability to read, comprehend and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Must be proficient in use of the office computer and skilled with MS Office including Excel and Word or similar spreadsheet and word processing software.
