HDR is seeking a Concrete/Earthwork Field Specialist to support a large program in Pompano Beach Florida and Orlando, Florida.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Supervise Materials Technicians working in concrete.
  • Perform and\or coordinate Concrete Resolution Investigations.
  • Supervise the Turnpike Concrete Independent Assurance program to assure it meets and exceeds FDOT IA goals by testing method.
  • Check material availability for concrete mix designs submitted in Quality Control Plans.
  • Provide technical support to Turnpike Construction, Maintenance, and Design as well as Construction CEI teams.
  • Witness concrete repair and remedial work in the field when requested.
  • Investigate problems with cast-in-place, precast and prestressed concrete elements when requested.
  • Perform and\or oversee FDOT Concrete process reviews to ensure compliance with specifications, procedures and quality control plans.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory/Lead experience helpful
  • FDOT or Florida Turnpike experience

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office product experience
  • General background-related experience
