Job Description Pay Range: Starting at $15.50 an hour Role: This position will expand real-world experience for a junior technician or a student studying Information Technology. The position will assist in providing user support, troubleshooting issues, and configuring new devices. The time frame for this position is 6 months and the start and end dates are flexible. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Assists in troubleshooting and maintenance PC and peripheral issues for Credit Union staff. Install and configure hardware and software to support Credit Union staff Provide user technical support utilizing various Gulf Winds tools. Assist remote team members with PC and software issues. Other duties as assigned. Performance Measurements: Meets department standards for response to team member requests for assistance with hardware, software, or other issues. Actively listen to customers to understand their business needs. Meets department standards for resolution, troubleshooting, and assisting when hardware or software issues occur. Properly document issues on appropriate report to ensure future solutions / avoid future issues. Interview customers to gather information useful in providing recommendations and solutions to a technical problem. Receive customer calls to provide step-by-step guidelines for the solution of a technical issue. Provides information to management regarding key operating issues affecting the department and relays input from team on pertinent issues. Communicates impactful changes appropriately and ensures any modifications have been tested before they are put into production, working with training as needed to ensure users are prepared. Ensures adequate communication is maintained to all appropriate parties. Knowledge and Skills: Experience: The role can be learned in hours, days, or weeks. Education: A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills: Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information. Other Skills: Junior or Senior majoring in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or other relevant disciplines. Responsible and timely Ability to provide premiere customer service. Strong written communication skills. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements: Expected to work between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. but may be required to work nights and/or weekends. Expected to work 20-24 hours per week. Must adhere to safety rules and regulations. Work Environment: Office Location: Office is located at 220 E. Nine Mile Rd. in Pensacola.
