Job Title: Sr Ab initio Developer (Onsite)

Work Location: Hartford CT

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead with 8 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Ab Initio, knowledge on Databricks , PL/SQL Data Warehousing Concepts and Unix Shell Scripting along with domain expertise in Property & Casualty Insurance. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of data integration and ETL processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of data integration solutions using Ab Initio tools.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide technical expertise in Ab Initio ExpressIt External Scheduler and Metadata Hub.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Develop and optimize PL/SQL scripts for data extraction transformation and loading.
  • Ensure adherence to data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Utilize scheduling basics to manage and automate ETL workflows.
  • Implement and monitor data integration processes to support business objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and ETL processes.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs.
  • Maintain documentation for ETL processes data flows and system configurations.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance data integration solutions.

Qualifications

  • Possess strong technical skills in Ab Initio GDE ConductIt and Co>Operating System.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Unix Shell Scripting for automation and process management.
  • Have a solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Show proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
  • Exhibit experience in Property & Casualty Insurance domain.
  • Be familiar with scheduling basics and external schedulers for ETL workflows.
  • Have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Possess strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Be detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a hybrid work model.
  • Have a proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.
  • Show experience in documenting technical processes and system configurations.
  • Be able to mentor and guide junior team members effectively.

Certifications Required

Ab Initio Certified Professional Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 1/23/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $ 81,848- $135,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
