The School of Environmental & Biological Sciences (
SEBS) and the Department of Marine and Coastal Sciences (
DMCS) seek an Assistant Professor (AY), who shares our passion to achieve a healthy and sustainable future through excellence in research, teaching, and outreach in the field of ocean nutrient biogeochemistry. We are interested in expanding our faculty to include a scholar and educator combining microbial oceanography and marine geochemistry to develop an externally funded research program exploring feedback between microbes and in their physical-chemical environment and their role in Earth's biogeochemical cycles and climate.
The new faculty will be expected to develop an externally funded research program in the field of marine microbial biogeochemistry and contribute in teaching the Department's graduate and undergraduate programs. |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- PhD in Oceanography or a related field.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to conduct research, prepare grant proposals, teach and develop courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and mentor students.
- Applicants with at least two years of postdoctoral experience will be prioritized.
