Our Quick Coupling Division in Chetek, WI is looking for new Material Handler I to help keep the world moving. In this role, you will support plant operations working in the scope of shipping out finished product, receiving component parts, and moving product to and from different work areas.

What Is a Quick Coupling?

Parker's Quick Coupling Division is the largest manufacturer of quick couplings in the world. A quick coupling is used to provide a fast, make-or-break connection of fluid or gas transfer lines. Our plants provide critical equipment for many different industries including Agriculture, Construction, and Fire & Rescue teams.

  • Unload raw stock from incoming trucks.
  • Pull from and deliver raw stock to raw stock market. Break bundles and deliver raw stock to machines.
  • Learn to operate the raw stock saw.
  • Receive (physically and electronically) raw material and product from vendors.
  • Troubleshoot receiving problems.
  • Unload and receive incoming trucks.
  • Load and log out bound trucks.
  • Prepare shipping documents.
  • Pull, pack and ship customer sales orders.
  • Coordinate for transportation pick-up.
  • Properly put material away (i.e. first-in-first-out).
  • Pull assembly jobs from cards or picklists.
  • Conduct cycle counts as directed by PC&L.
  • Transport material as necessary to keep cells operating.
  • Escalate material issues immediately.
  • Receive and put away finished goods, replenish common stock and fill components for assembly jobs every hour.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand part numbers.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • Good judgment to comply with instructions and standard procedures, methods or practices.
  • Ability to stand for majority of a shift.
  • Frequently lift and move light to average weight material (1-35 lbs.)
  • Occasional lift and move average weight material up to 50 lbs.
