Description

Special Security Representative

The team member will assist in management and implementation of the Defense Special Security System for the supported Agency IAW Intelligence Community Directive 705, DoD Manual 5105.21, DoD Manual 5200.02, and the Technical Specifications for the Construction and Management of SCIFs

Responsibilities include:

- Assist with technical and programmatic issues related Agency SCIFs, such as facility construction and modifications, alarms, access control, power failure, equipment changes, general maintenance, and periodic inspections.

- Review Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), TEMPEST Addendums and related SCIF documentation. Assist customers with SCIF documentation, and management and operations of their facilities.

- Conduct Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems acceptance testing for newly installed or modified systems and prepare Intrusion Detection System (IDS) reports.

- Use Government furnished databases, the Defense Information System for Security, Scattered Castles, National Background Investigations System, and others as required.

- Develop and implement administrative and physical security procedures at Agency Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities.

- Provide access control to MDA SCIFs, as needed, and validate clearance and access for all persons entering MDA accredited facilities. Process visitors IAW current regulations and policy, maintain visitor logs, issue access badges and assign escorts.

- Operate the automated access control and intrusion detection system to include assisting with the alarm response during and after normal duty hours. Prepare SCIF Self-Inspection reports when tasked.

- Support implementation of procedures and requirements of the DoD Personnel Security Program IAW DoD Manual 5200-02 and current guidance from DCSA, Office of Personnel Management (OPM), and the Office of the Director for National Intelligence (ODNI).

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree relevant to the Security fields preferred

- Experience: 8+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program / project

- Works independently and / or leads sub-teams to analyze and resolve problems

- Clearance: TS with SCI eligibility
