Position Summary:

Travere Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Manager of Medical Information reporting to the Senior Director of Global Medical Information & Operations. This position will be responsible for day-to-day management of medical information operations, including oversight of the medical information call center; generation, revision and maintenance of frequently asked questions, and standard response documents in response to unsolicited requests for approved and investigational products within the Travere portfolio; and cross-functional support in the execution of departmental deliverables. This individual will remain current on relevant medical/scientific areas of interest to the company, industry best practices, and applicable regulatory guidelines to ensure the department provides timely, accurate, balanced and compliant medical information. This individual will also support the delivery of high quality and impactful medical assets, focusing on innovative, best in class, and value-added services and deliverables.

Responsibilities:

* Direct and implement Global Medical Information operational strategies/objectives and provide medical, scientific and technical support for the Travere product portfolio and/or products under clinical development
* Develop and execute project plans that ensure pre- and post- product launch preparedness of the Medical Information department, including support of Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaisons, Market Access, and Commercial teams
* Partner with Global Medical Affairs colleagues for updates and review of medical information trends and data gaps to develop new medical assets and resources
* Implement innovations with respect to quality control mechanisms, supportive systems/databases, efficient inquiry handling workstreams, and overall dissemination of scientific information
* Provide oversight and lead the development of medical information resource documents and the handling of medical information requests for assigned products and therapeutic areas
* Analyze Medical Information metrics to strategically identify trends and insights and provide strategic input for process improvement
* Ensure all medical information content is scientifically developed and maintained to ensure current/relevant data is disseminated upon request
* Manage, train and mentor Medical Information Specialists, Coordinators and contractors
* Manage the Medical Information inbox and resolve all escalated call-center inquiries
* Assist in supporting Medical Affairs initiatives, including review of promotional (PRC) and medical review committee (MRC) materials
* Support management and coordination of the MRC process, including content workflow, review/approval processes, and review meetings
* Manage the technology needs across the Medical Information function and explore new digital innovations/enhancements to meet customer needs
* Develop the vision and create a strategy to enhance or create channels for responding to unsolicited requests for medical information or communicating key scientific information about our products

Education/Experience Requirements:

* Scientific or medical degree (MD, Ph.D., PharmD, RN or equivalent) is required with a minimum of 3+ years' experience within the pharmaceutical or related industry; minimum of 2 years of medical information experience. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered
* Experience in kidney and/or rare disease preferred
* Experience in scientific/medical literature identification and evaluation
* Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Additional Skills/Experience/Requirements:
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and with cross-functional groups and in a matrix organization
* Experience in medical writing and support of product launch
* Experience with Call Center management, content management systems, and medical information systems
* Excellent oral and written communication and project management skills
* Experience leading a Medical Review Committee (MRC) preferred
* Knowledge and proficiency in Veeva Vault desired
* Strong scientific background and experience conducting medical review
* Ability to manage various projects, solve problems, deliver on commitments and work with multidisciplinary teams
* Strong understanding of current industry guidelines
* Independent, self-starting individual with a demonstrated ability to thrive, prioritize and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to travel 20% domestic and internationally
* All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote

Compensation: Our competitive compensation package includes a combination of both cash compensation (base pay and short-term incentive) and long-term incentive compensation (company stock), designed to recognize, retain, and reward employees.

Target Base Pay Range:

$128,000.00 - $165,000.00
