Northeastern Junior College is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to serve as the Northeastern Junior College Vice President of Academic Affairs. Northeastern Junior College is a rural college within the Colorado Community College System. Located in Sterling, Colorado, Northeastern Junior College supports a full campus experience for students including residence halls, dining, clubs and athletics, and the highest quality education. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be: The Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA) provides the administrative direction and leadership for all educational delivery systems of the college as well as academic quality and control consistent with established higher education policies and procedures. The VPAA plans, develops, maintains, and evaluates the effectiveness of instruction across all academic (transfer), extended studies, online, and career /technical (occupational/vocational) instructional curricula including programs and courses. The VPAA supervises Deans, Department Chairs and Directors, and other staff. The VPAA serves as the key liaison between NJC and other universities and colleges, developing and overseeing partnerships that enhance student opportunities. The VPAA serves as the Chief Academic Officer for the college when representing same to the federal and state agencies. What You Will Need: · Strong initiative and desire to serve faculty and students · Exceptional organizational and planning skills · Ability to serve as a team member and a team leader on and off campus What We Require: · Teaching and curriculum development experience in a community college or institution of higher education. · Experience in community college or other higher education administration or relatable employment. · Experience with academic/transfer and occupational/career education curricula and accreditation. · Effective writing and oral communication skills. · Experience in a leadership position supporting subordinate growth and teamwork. · Masters or comparable degree required in an academic discipline or administration/leadership. · Valid Colorado Driver’s License
What We Can Offer: This is a full-time professional appointment. Annual salary is $95,000-$101,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
