We are currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Supervisor in out state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Watertown, WI, conveniently located between Madison and Milwaukee. This would be a salaried position, working Monday-Friday, 8 hour night shifts, and reporting to the Maintenance Manager.

JOB SUMMARY: Direct, coordinate, and perform activities of maintenance department employees through initiatives including installation, repair, and maintenance of machines, tools, equipment, and buildings. This position will be heavily involved on the production floor, including the plant control system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws for all direct reports. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work, coaching, appraising performance, training, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Participate in and direct troubleshooting activities in the event of equipment failure including participation in problem solving and leading failure analysis.
  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs manufacturing equipment and performs routine preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Actively participate in the development and execution of CQC Maintenance Excellence.
  • Maintain appropriate shift crew levels to meet staffing requirements.
  • Coordinate and approve all daily overtime and support payroll activities.
  • Implement training processes for the technical development of mechanics including job and equipment specific certification as well as cross training.
  • Ensure that mechanics have the tools, information and direction to get the manufacturing lines started on time while achieving optimal performance throughout the production shifts.
  • Conduct orientation and evaluation of new mechanics.
  • Promote a safe work environment through accident prevention, reporting and investigation.
  • Develop and promote team concept.
  • Enforce GMP's and Food Safety Standards.
  • Complete paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain communication with manager, peers, and support areas across multiple shifts to ensure equipment specific problems and needs are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Lead team meetings and safety meetings.
  • Coordinate activities and follow up across multiple shifts.
  • Active involvement in Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement.
  • Promote service-oriented group philosophy.
  • Manage and track monthly spend to ensure compliance to budget.
  • Perform failure analysis.
  • Expand and enhance preventative maintenance and information systems.
  • Concentrate on critical start up areas, on time starts and effective changeovers.
  • Ensure proper shift hand-offs between crews are executed and plans are in place for follow-ups
  • Involvement with new capital projects.
  • Maintain regular attendance at work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Maintenance or other technical field.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • 4-year degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experience and education in electrical and controls preferred.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems such as Preventative Maintenance and Inventory Control
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must have acceptable driving record and valid driver's license.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) packages and AutoCAD preferred.
  • Experience with TPM, Autonomous Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance preferred.
