Responsible for supporting the Finance and Data Analytics Departments with a variety of tasks, primarily focused on data analysis, creating, or modifying various financial reports, databases and spreadsheets, and assisting with the general ledger and month-end closing functions for Easterseals-Goodwill and Easterseals Housing Solutions. Assists with the annual financial statement audits for both ESGW and ESHS. Involved in financial report writing and analytics, monthly financial statement analysis and in the development and monitoring of the overall company budgets. Responsible for evaluating data to ensure accuracy and relevancy in data extractions and compilations used by the organization. Ensures accurate and timely submission and analysis of monthly workload statistics for Programs and Services, and all data required by Easterseals Inc. and Goodwill Industries International (GII). Works to ensure Finance functions are accurate, timely and reliable. Performs related duties and undertakes related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Communicates effectively both written and orally with customers, other co-workers and clients. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP).
• High-level knowledge of accounting functions and their interaction: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Payroll.
• Understand tax laws and other federal and state compliance laws.
• Proficient in computer operations.
• Must be proficient in Excel (to include usage of pivot tables, embedded sumif statements, vlookups, xlookups, if/or statements and filters).
• Knowledge of the budget process including operational, capital and cash flow budgets.
• Knowledge of allocation techniques and applications, cost analysis.
• Knowledge of and experience with financial analysis performance indicators, variance analysis and budget monitoring.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business preferred
• 5+ years in accounting, Federal Grants, budgeting, and data analysis.
• CPA preferred
• Or equivalent experience
