SUMMARY: Coordinate and manage Quality Assurance department by ensuring quality control procedures are established and followed to meet the customer's requirements by: developing quality assurance systems for incoming raw materials and finished goods, analyzing customer requirements versus test procedures, conducting process capability studies, making test procedure or specification recommendations to the Technical Manager, analyzing raw material test data ensuring material meets specifications, manage the disposition of all non-conforming raw materials, handle all customer complaints, work with APC customers and raw material suppliers for technical interface to analyze root cause and corrective action plans. Coordinate CQI programs within the plant. LOCATION: Columbus and Deforest, WI Plants ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Ideal candidates will possess a related Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four year college or university and 4 years related experience and/or training. Candidates should be from the Flexographic printing/converting industry using adhesive lamination. Must possess experience in implementing quality improvement programs and managing a quality lab and directing and developing a team of direct reports. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
