INVISTA Seaford, De has an immediate need for a self-motivated and knowledgeable Mechanical Technician. This position assists to increase uptime, reliability, and the assurance of meeting production and quality goals. Check out [1] Koch Makes This: INVISTA Our Team Mechanical Technicians, along with our Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians, work with our Operations and Engineering teams to minimize downtime and ensure we meet quality production. Mechanical Technicians creates value by performing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance. This position is for a 2nd (4p-12a) or 3rd shift role (12am-8am) and includes holidays, weekend, and overtime hours as needed. Our Benefits * Starting Rates up to $28.75 / hour; increase after training program; shift differential and overtime * Immediate Vacation Available - 120-hour annual allotment * Automatic 401K company contribution along with competitive matching program * Excellent Health benefit options What You Will Do * Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participating in the safety program * Troubleshooting, installing, aligning, and dismantling industrial machinery and mechanical equipment * Performing periodic maintenance routines including lubricating machines and equipment for improved reliability and uptime to achieve optimal performance * Participating in a Preventative Maintenance (PM) program * Collaborating with operations to identify and prioritize maintenance needs * Recording work results and parts usage in computerized maintenance management system * Working with operations to identify and prioritize maintenance needs * Maintaining accurate maintenance logs including labor hours and critical preventative maintenance findings * Willing and able to adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, agricultural or military environment * Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics & pneumatics * Experience troubleshooting issues with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors, rollers, pulleys, and shafts * Experience with reading blueprints and precision measurements * Experience using a computer for record-keeping and documentation functions Physical Requirements * Required to wear any or all of the following PPE: safety glasses, hearing protection, goggles, hard hats, FRC, gloves, safety boots. PPE use is in accordance with the safety rules and regulations * Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs, repetitively as required * Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, industrial, non-temperature controlled, high-volume environment What Will Put You Ahead * Experience with precision equipment installation, fundamentals in alignment, and machinery lubrication. * Five (5) or more years mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or military environment * Experience with maintenance management software (CMMS) preferably SAP * Technical Degree or higher in a Mechanical Maintenance program * Experience with fabricating, torch cutting, and arc welding This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.
