Job Description

LEAD KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Selection process will be based on seniority, attendance, leadership abilities, computer skills, knowledge of chemicals, and cleaning techniques.
  • Ability to follow directions from supervisor.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Missouri Driver's License.
  • Collaborate closely with all staff and supervisors.
  • Maintain good attendance and work record.
  • Fill in for absent employees or supervisor, due to illness, vacancies, or vacation.
  • Perform assigned custodial work as a working lead.
  • Assist supervisor in ordering and issuing of supplies.
  • Possess knowledge of floor and carpet tile care and operate floor care machinery.
  • Be knowledgeable about chemicals and hazardous materials management.
  • Assist with routine inspections of building, and areas.
  • Ensure quality control by addressing cleaning issues with employees or supervisors.
  • Assist in the training of new employees.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, supervisors and staff.
  • Perform other duties as required for normal operations.
Shift

3:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Monday through Friday

Minimum Qualifications

A job offer for this position is contingent on passing a physical examination to determine if the candidate possesses the physical capabilities necessary to perform the essential functions.
* Ability to read and write.
* A valid driver's license may be required for certain positions.
* One year of general maintenance and/or custodial experience preferred.
* Some knowledge of methods for cleaning equipment and buildings; mechanical ability for minor repair of equipment.
* Ability on a daily basis to:
- Visualize work area and determine what tasks need to be performed
- Bend, squat, reach, stretch, walk, stand, sit, grasp and twist repeatedly
- Climb stairs, step stools, and ladders; climb and descend stairwells
- Lift, carry, and set down objects of moderate weight (25- 50 lbs.)
* Work may include one or more of the following:
- Working in areas of extreme temperatures
- Wearing a backpack vacuum for long periods of time
- Wearing protective mask and hearing protection devices
- Working around dust and cleaning chemicals
* Good physical coordination and mechanical aptitude sufficient to perform assigned duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A valid Missouri driver's license is required.
  • Knowledge of methods for cleaning equipment and buildings; mechanical ability for minor equipment repair.
  • Knowledge of floor care, including scrubbing, recoating floors, and carpet cleaning.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $16.00 - $20.87 per hour

Grade: GGS-C
