Job Overview

Are you a skilled maintenance professional looking for a hands-on role in a dynamic apartment community? Join our team as an Skilled Maintenance Technician, where you'll play a critical role in ensuring our property remains in excellent condition. This position requires a mix of technical maintenance expertise and strong customer service skills. From diagnosing issues and completing repairs to organizing work orders and maintaining the property, we seek a dedicated individual who can work independently while collaborating with the property management team.

Responsibilities & Duties



  • Conduct routine property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs
  • Perform plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks and unclogging drains
  • Carry out electrical repairs, such as replacing light fixtures and troubleshooting wiring issues
  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems as needed
  • Repair and paint walls, ceilings, and doors to maintain unit and property aesthetics
  • Install, repair, and maintain household appliances
  • Handle carpentry tasks, including repairing/installing floors, doors, and cabinets
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests
  • Collaborate with property management and team members to schedule maintenance work
  • Oversee and coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs
  • Maintain landscaping and grounds as required
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents by addressing maintenance concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies


Qualifications & Skills



  • Previous experience in maintenance or a related field required
  • Certification in HVAC (universal with a minimum of 3 years hands on experience), plumbing, electrical
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Experience using property management software is a plus
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor tasks
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Customer service experience in a residential setting is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals
  • Willingness to be on-call for emergencies
